| HistoryThe city of Vejer is situated in the middle of one of the oldest cultural landscapes in Spain. It owes its early origin to its strong strategic position above the river Barbate and proximity to the sea. This location provided the town with good defenses and easy access to the sea by river. Vejer most probably already existed during the rule of the Carthaginians (roughly 400 BC.). The name of the city originates from that time. It is likely that the Carthaginians called the river Barbate "Wadi-Baka" - after the city of Baka which dominated its delta. During the course of time the word "Baka" gradually seems to have been transformed into the name "Vejer". |

This Vejer rental home on the Costa de la Luz is located in an ideal part of town - La Noria - nicely situated in a residential area but within easy walking distance of all that Vejer has to offer. It is just a few minutes walk to supermarket, banks, shops and restaurants.
Modern, clean and functional but designed with an eye to traditional Andalusian style, the house, completed in 2006, is well appointed and features 3 bedrooms and 1.75 bathrooms.
